David Lu, M.D. is a fellowship-trained cornea specialist experienced in corneal surgery, premium cataract surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmology. Dr. Lu obtained his bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. He then obtained his medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he graduated with distinction. Afterwards, he received his ophthalmology residency training at the Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. Dr. Lu then completed further subspecialty training with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. During his career, he has received numerous scholarships and awards for teaching and research. Pilots, professional athletes, and fellow surgeons have all entrusted their eyes with Dr. Lu and have praised him for the excellent care that they’ve received. Dr. Lu specializes in cataract surgery, dropless surgery, premium lens implantation, LASIK, ICL, corneal transplants, DMEK/DSEK, keratoconus, pterygium, laser surgery, glaucoma, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Lu enjoys snowboarding, watching football, playing tennis, tending to his garden, and going for long runs on the beach
