Rebecca Holowka has been practicing audiology for over 30 years in a variety of settings with both pediatric and adult patients. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences at Radford University in 1990, Rebecca continued her education at Gallaudet University, earning her Master of Science degree in Audiology in 1992. Originally from Maryland, Rebecca provided services at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg Florida, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Johns Hopkins University Hospital in Baltimore Maryland before moving to Delaware in 2003. Rather than focusing solely on hearing loss, Rebecca sees her role in hearing health care as that of promoting improved communication, including the social and emotional challenges that result from hearing loss. Rebecca is certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and has been the Director of the Healthy Hearing Program for Delaware Special Olympics since its inception in 2002.
