Sydney was born in Newark, Delaware and raised in Kennett Square, PA near Longwood Gardens and Chadds Ford, PA. She is an only child. Her mother worked for over 25 years as a guidance counselor for the state of Delaware and her father continues to work as a civil engineer in Philadelphia.
Sydney attended Tower Hill School outside of Wilmington for 13 years and then went on to complete her undergraduate education at Brown University. She graduated with honors in Biology in 2010. During college she worked in veterinary medicine as a veterinary technician. She thought vet medicine might be her calling until she realized that she would rather have patients that could talk! Yet, she continues to be an animal lover currently raising her beloved rescue mutt, Riley, and hoping to add to her fur babies soon. Her other interests include long distance running, dancing, and singing.
She completed her Physician Assistant education at Chatham University in Pittsburgh and worked in Urgent Care for five months before coming to Bayhealth Heart and Vascular. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and maintains her NCCPA certification to practice as a Physician Assistant.
