Dr. Nguyen graduated cum laude from the Southern California College of Optometry Class of 2017. While pursuing a dual Doctor of Optometry and Masters of Vision Science degree, Dr. Nguyen was also deeply involved with campus life serving as President of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society, President of Omega Delta Professional Optometric Fraternity, Vice President of her class (’14-’15) and having served in four medical mission trips in El Salvador, Tijuana and Tanzania. Dr. Nguyen completed her research on meibomian gland dysfunction, a major sub-type of dry eye disease. She has presented her research twice at the American Academy of Optometry conference. Dr. Nguyen has a demonstrated history of disease knowledge and management with intensive training at HuHuKam Memorial Hospital on the Gila Reservation in Arizona and a bachelors studying immunology and infectious disease. Lastly, Dr. Nguyen has a strong military background having served at three military bases: Camp Pendleton Naval Base, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Elmendorf Air Force Base. Dr. Nguyen believes in serving those who serve us in protecting this great nation. In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, hiking and painting.
