Dr. Ramesh K. Vemulapalli was born in Hyderabad, India. He graduated with an M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery) degree in 1990 from Gandhi Medical College. In 1992 he enrolled in a graduate program at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL obtaining a Masters in Biological Sciences degree in 1995. After completing his Internal Medicine residency training at UPMC-McKeesport Hospital, PA (1995-1998) he attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston completing his fellowship in Infectious Diseases in 2000. Dr. Vemulapalli is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and has been in private practice in Dover since 2000. He is a member of the Infectious Disease Society of America and American College of Physicians. He serves as vice chairman of the Infection Control Department at Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover, DE.
